Risk review
Rebuilds asset, ownership, and impact context.
About
Continuum is built around a simple observation: the same security and business context gets reconstructed separately for risk reviews, audits, vendor assessments, and executive reporting. Continuum keeps that context connected instead, so assurance work starts from what's already known. Continuum turns that context into a connected security model for risk understanding, assurance, and decisions.
01 / The problem
A risk review reconstructs asset and ownership context. An audit rebuilds evidence and control context. A vendor assessment rebuilds dependency context. Executive reporting reconstructs all of it from the same underlying reality, assembled separately each time.
Rebuilds asset, ownership, and impact context.
Rebuilds controls, evidence, and review context.
Rebuilds service, dependency, and ownership context.
Reassembles risk, assurance, and business context for executive review.
Operational foundation
Continuum grew out of more than two decades of hands-on cybersecurity work and repeated exposure to the same enterprise problem: security context being reconstructed separately across testing, risk, compliance, audit, remediation, and business decision-making.
02 / The thesis
Continuum keeps the same operating context connected across the purposes that need it, so risk, assurance, evidence, ownership, and decision-making can start from what's already known instead of reconstructing the same reality each time.
03 / Continuous Security Assurance
Continuous Security Assurance means keeping security state, evidence, controls, risk, and ownership connected as normal operating context, not reconstructing it only when an audit or review requires it. Assurance becomes something a team can understand and act on continuously because the connections already exist, rather than something rebuilt from scratch at each checkpoint.
Continuous Security Assurance describes the operating model Continuum is designed around. It does not mean every control is automatically and continuously tested, or that all evidence is collected without review. Teams remain responsible for reviewing, verifying, and acting on the context the platform connects.
04 / Principles
Security information is more useful when the relationships around it remain intact.
Important governance and security decisions remain owned by accountable people.
A claim is only as useful as the evidence and context that support it.
Important decisions should remain understandable after they are made.
Assurance should remain connected to normal operating work, not exist only at review time.
05 / AI in the operating model
Continuum uses AI as an assistance layer grounded in connected operating context, not as a replacement for review or judgment. Governance decisions remain with accountable people.
06 / Platform direction
Continuum is being developed toward broader integration, richer relationships between operating objects, and deeper support for continuous assurance. The platform direction extends the same core idea: security context should remain connected as the platform expands.
This direction does not imply that every future capability is available today.
